Hallowe’en Night
As the Moon rises
Full and bright
On Halloween,
Witches take flight
Across the sky.
Black cats prowl the night,
Their yellow eyes agleam.
Spooks and spectres
Cross the thinning veil
To haunt the unsuspecting,
While demons come forth
To prey upon the unwary.
Go outside at this time,
If you dare,
But if you do,
You’d best beware.
.
Demons Dance
When the moon rises
On Halloween night
The demons dance
Beneath its light,
Cavorting in unholy glee
And luring unsuspecting souls
To join with them
In their fun and play,
Keeping them
Blissfully unaware
Of any peril,
Before sending them
To their fates
Upon break of day.
