“At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a friend, a child, or a parent.” – Barbara Bush

Rest in peace, Barbara Bush. America will sorely miss you, her “Grandmother”, the “Silver Fox”.

RIP Tom Petty

What a day. First, we have the tragic shooting in Las Vegas, and now we’ve lost yet another great music icon, Tom Petty. I’ve listened to his music for many years, and he is a brilliant artist, with many memorable songs to his credit, who will truly be missed.

RIP Adam West

I was saddened to hear the news yesterday that Adam West, star of TV’s Batman in the 1960s, had passed away. I remember watching the show when I was little, and though it was a bit campy and silly, it was a fun show and I enjoyed it quite a bit, and I will miss him and his portrayal of the Caped Crusader. You have moved on to another “bat-time” and “bat-channel”, Adam West, and we will hopefully be able to tune in to it one day.

And of course, let’s not forget his memorable and hilarious role in Cannonball Run:
