She didn’t mind if they called her Scrooge and said she had a heart of ice, just because she refused to celebrate the holidays. Really, she didn’t, she told herself as she stared at her gloomy reflection in the iced-over pond in the festively decorated park. They didn’t know about all the painful memories that the holidays brought up for her, after all.

I feel for her; my grandfather passed on Xmas eve. So many others have lost people over the holidays; one must remember. Thanks for sharing ☺️
