Hair Stylin’ – Stream of Consciousness Saturday #SoCS

Young Lizzie and her mother walked into the hair salon. Lizzie checked in while her mother took a seat, then joined her a minute later. After a couple of minutes, the stylist came up and called Lizzie to join her at her station.

As Lizzie got settled into the chair, the stylist asked her, “So, what are we doing today?”

“Give me head with hair,” Lizzie said. “Long, beautiful hair.”

“Shining, gleaming, streaming, flaxen, waxen?”

“Give me down to there hair, shoulder length or longer.”

Lizzie’s mother came up to them and, overhearing, frowned and said, “Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin are you getting extensions, missy! I agreed to pay for you to get a haircut, that’s all!”

Lizzie rolled her eyes and sighed, “Fine. Just a trim, then.”
